Chikezie Eze - who professionally goes by his first name only - entered this year's American Idol competition the most experience as well as the least experience. Having tried out three times prior, he was a veteran of the show's arduous audition process. Unlike fellow contestants such as David Cook, Carly Smithson, Michael Johns and Kristy Lee Cook - who had achieved various levels of professional experience - Chikezie had very little public exposure.

Don't ask me how he did it, but Iggy got through it.
And for all of the battle scars he has rightfully earned, he still looks and sounds pretty damned good on this DVD — ass hanging out all over the place notwithstanding (but of course, that's part of the deal with Iggy anyway, right?).
That most essential part of any great Iggy show — that sort of unhinged sense that things could come completely unglued and fall apart at any minute, even for a guy who has gotta be pushing sixty — still exists here.

Before I get into this review, I'll admit straight out that I'm not an unbiased reviewer. Aimee Mann is one of my favourite artists, owing both to the fact that her melancholy songs are right up my alley (even though I'm a pretty happy guy, I'm drawn to sad music) and the fact that she's always been the first act on my iPod, so when I'm feeling indecisive about what to listen to, I simply press play, "How Am I Different?" starts from Bachelor No.

2008’s perfect sit-on-the-patio, sip-on-umbrella-drinks, relax-and-chill record is finally here. N.E.R.D.’s phenomenal Seeing Sounds is a sugary breeze from start to finish. The alt-rock sounds of Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo and Shae Haley are simply un-fucking-stoppable on this return to the N.E.R.D. sound.
Their first splash in the pool since 2004’s cool Fly or Die, Seeing Sounds is alternative music for the funky people of the world.

Fender are launching a signature model Stratocaster guitar. The guitar, called the ‘Black Strat’, will be available from September 22 and is based on the star’s iconic instrument that helped create his band Pink Floyd’s revolutionary sound. said: “I told Fender that it was just an ordinary Strat that I bought, but I must say they’ve done a great job of recreating it.” The release of the guitar will coincide with the release of Gilmour’s 3CD live album ‘Live In Gdansk’, recorded on his 2007 solo world tour.

John Graham has been easing in and out of the shadows for the last fifteen years, employing a myriad of alter-egos as cover and unleashing one gut-busting project after another on the global dance music scene.
Whether he was Tilt, Skanna, Stoneproof, or Space Manoeuvres, this mofo was it.
Assuming another doppelganger of sorts, Graham is dropping the debut album for Quivver on an unsuspecting public.

You gotta hand it to Sergio Mendes. The ageless Latin musical star has flourished for more than four decades, and even though he has plenty of ability himself, he's been helped along the way by his unerring ability to choose some interesting musical partners. For his latest album, Encanto, now out on the Concord label, he embraces the practice with a vengeance and it might be his most eclectic album ever, although 2006's Timeless began the process.
